Following the notification by the International Organization for Animal Health (OIE) of the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (HPAI) in France, Thailand is taking preventive health measures to prevent the introduction of HPAI into the country through the import of French live poultry and its products.
It has been announced that Thailand will impose temporary import restrictions on poultry and their products from the French provinces of South Corsica, LES YVELINES, Landes, Vendee, Deux-Sevres, Haut-Pyrenees and Pyrenee-Atlantic, which are highly pathogenic affected by the H5N5 avian influenza.
