The statement was made after the United States decided to extend the exemption from import tariffs on certain Chinese seafood.
In total, China has excluded 16 American imports from its tariff list. The statement said that tariffs on other products (such as US aircraft and soybeans) will continue to “retaliate against US tariffs imposed under its 301 policy.”
