Bird flu has killed nearly two million chickens in the world’s largest egg producer

Cal-Maine Foods, the world’s largest egg producer, said it found cases of infection at its facility in Plummer County, Texas, where about 1.6 million laying hens and 337,000 pulps, or about 3.6 percent of its flock, were destroyed.

Production was halted after bird flu was found in chickens at its Texas plant.
