The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government has announced that African swine fever virus (ASF) has been detected in pig samples from a pig farm in Yuen Long. In accordance with the African swine Fever contingency plan, AFCD has banned the shipment of any pigs from the farm concerned with immediate effect until further notice.
